Aalwar is a 2019 Indian Malayalam-language film written and directed by Vasudevan. The film stars Varun, Vinitha Koshy, Bindu Madhavi, and Saritha in the lead roles. The movie tells the story of Aditya (Varun), who left his family to study in the US after his father's death. He returns to India to see his mother's condition after she fell into coma following mental breakdowns. The movie is produced by Jai Arjun and Shivan under the banner of Red Rose Creations.

The music was released on 31 October 2018.The lyrics were written by Dennis Joseph and Vinayak Sasikumar. The film had a World Television premier on Asianet Movies Saturday at 8 pm. The telecast of the movie was live on free-to-air channel Asianet channel and it was also available online on streaming site YouTube and video sharing site Vimeo.

"Aalwar" ran into controversy regarding unauthorized use of one of the song clips, titled "Subhiksha", from the 2012 Malayalam film "Sakhavu", composed by Rahul Raj. The song was played during the climax scenes of the movie. As per the reports, the unauthorized clip had already been used by other Malayalam films including "Naalum Nootru" (2014), "Neram Nilavum Paliyum Vazhi Pattukal" (2018) and "Kadhalum Kadandhu Pogum" (2018). Global Tamil Film Production & Distribution Limited who purchased the film rights for Tamil version has planned to determine whether to remove scenes from Malayalam version or to include scenes in Tamil version only. The Central Board of Film Certification is also to take a call on the issue. The Background score is composed by Vasudevan himself. Praveen Antony was the movie's costume designer. Nadhirshah was its action choreographer.
